So giving generously to the church and the library and other causes in the families name is righteous and good? Right?

I would just like to say. WRONG!. That's not getting you major brownie points with GOD!

First, charity begins at home. If your giving all this to everyone else while your children and grand children are starving and living off the public dime it don't mean shit! You are your brothers keeper and you are to forgive him and help him every time asked of you if you have the means. ( You don't have to be a fool and give him money to blow anyway he likes, but you can pay his electric bill, buy him gas, feed him, teach him to fish, etc.)

Second, if you cant forgive your child don't expect god to forgive you. The quality of mercy is mercy itself! Visit your children and grand children often and tell them you love them.

Third, suffer the little children not for there's is the kingdom of god. It is better that you not have been born then to deny a child a life in God's grace and instruction in Christ teachings, this includes your grandchild!

Forth, it don't count when you give money to the church or anyone else to satisfy your ego in front of other men or burry dirty little secrets ! Only money or charitable works giving or done anomalously without an expected return count.( Sorry Ophra Winfrey your favorable room in heaven is not assured!)

Fifth, the son is not responsible for the sins of the father, or the father for the sins of the adult child, but the wife is responsible for the sins of the husband and the husband for the sins of the wife. You are also responsible for the sins of your minor children. This means if your child gets pregnant before moving out of the house or is  out of the house and is under the age of 18 you are responsible for the up bringing and the cost of that grandchild until they reach the age of 18 beside making sure they are instructed in Christ teachings. This also means that if your wife has a child that is someone else's its your responsibility, as is the bastard child of your husband if he has one.

All of this is besides being your brothers keeper! Ain't Christianity fun and Great?
