The DA and Sherriff's department are taking a little heat about a plea deal announced for Buffalo Bills running back Marshawn Lynch. Me personally I don't see anything wrong with making a deal. Even the Bible tells you make a deal with your neighbor and settle your differences before  your neighbor brings you in front of the Judge and like a fool all your personal and private matters are exposed for everyone to see.

 We all know the Sheriffs Department works at rich stadium( Sorry Ralph Wilson Stadium), on duty and contracted privately as do other police department personnel. The Ralph is a county owned property. It is only natural for people with that kind of association to want to help each other. I would be much more weary if they just stood by and told Bills owner Ralph Wilson and Marshawn Lynch, sorry we wash our hands of you, your on you own.

The last fiasco at Rich stadium was when Faith Hills husband screwing around rode a Sheriffs Horse without permission as a prank and the Sheriffs deputy cuffed the guy, arrested him, and he was scheduled for court. All hell broke out in the national press! Not a great day for WNY.

All that told me and everyone else in the USA was the Erie County Sheriffs department had no respect for anyone but themselves and if they didn't have enough respect for a Country Super Star messing around, or see the Humor in it, when You the average Joe  has to deal with them, how do you think your going to fair with them? Not very good I would suppose.

 I think getting involved this time shows team work, concern for people they know,  that they all wanted to get evolved because the Bills are part of there  family at Rich stadium and in a border sense part of WNY and our Sports Identity.

Sherriff Howard was asked by a high ranking deputy for permission to have a private investigation firm he has an money investment in investigate for Marshawn Lynch to try to clear him.

 The Sherriff gave the OK, another Sheriff's deputy, the chopper pilot called his brother a lawyer to get Lynch representation.

 They then did everything they could to establish the facts and clear  his name,  they presented what they had to the DA, with the Buffalo police giving there side because the incident happened in Buffalo and the DA and Attorneys for Marshawn Lynch came to a plead deal.

Since I have no idea what the plea deal entails, I would hope that there is a big public service portion, community service where Marshawn Lynch shows up at almost every school in the county for the Dare programs, and either restitution or and escrow account for any law suite to compensate the victim. The judge could order this in addition to any plea agreement.

 I would hope that Ralph Wilson and the Bills remember they owe this community one and I would come down hard on Marshawn Lynch the next time because it would be a betrayal of everyone's trust, including all members of the Sheriffs department.

In this particular situation, the Public, the citizens of Erie county would have been livid and upset if there chances where diminished for any type of season for what I am assuming is a first offence in Erie county because people get plea deals everyday in almost every court in Erie county.

Ya, the DA used my though and sort of reversed it and said he thinks that reasonable people will think the plea deals reasonable, but he is probably right, because no one that's reasonable should complain about a plea deal for a first time offence, because they would want the same for themselves even if it was their second or third time up.

Right now I'm more concerned with the Erie county legislator trying to do a end around the Control Board when It comes to financing.

I don't really care who finances everything and makes a legal interest, including firms that have silent partners of county government officials, but I'm worried about skimming starting up again if this happens. Yeah Giambra is gone, but not everyone is gone from administration.
